Ahhh, the band is getting back together soon! Well, hopefully not ‘Streetlife’, the Milwaukee Bucks home band that ‘entertains’ for as long as I can remember at Bucks home games. From my understanding, I believe they are no longer filling that role. *Fingers crossed*
Anyway, the ‘band getting back together soon’ is an excitable reference insinuating that the Milwaukee Bucks are inching closer and closer to getting this 2012 National Basketball Association season underway!
Training camp starts on September 27th which stokes the first flame for die-hard Bucks fans. The Milwaukee Bucks then open up their preseason schedule on October 9th. The opening of the preseason really gets the fire burning, signaling to Bucks fans that the regular season is right around the corner. It’s an uplifting feeling. Kinda like the anticipation of Christmas Day as a little kid.
The Bucks will play the standard eight preseason games. Milwaukee hits the road for four of ‘em and plays four in Wisconsin. Two of the four Wisconsin games are at their regular season home floor, the BMO Harris Bradley Center. They also play one at the Resch Center in Packer country and one in La Crosse at the La Crosse Center.
The Bucks find themselves traveling to Chicago, Cleveland, Toronto & Charlotte for their road contests.
Without further ado, here’s the Milwaukee Bucks’ 2012 preseason schedule:
-Tue., October 9 @ Cleveland  7:00 p.m.
-Sat., October 13 vs. Detroit @ BMO Harris Bradley Center  7:30 p.m.
-Tue., October 16 @ Chicago  7:00 p.m.
-Thurs., October 18 vs. Memphis @ La Crosse Center  7:00 p.m.
-Sat., October 20 vs. Washington @BMO Harris Bradley Center (MACC Fund Game) Â 7:30 p.m
-Mon., October 22 @ Toronto  7:00 p.m.
-Thu., October 25 @ Charlotte  11:00 a.m.
-Fri., October 26 vs. Minnesota @ Resch Center  7:30 p.m
Once that final horns sounds on October 26th, I don’t know about you, but that Christmas night feeling will run through me quicker than a six-pack of Heineken’s!
