MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee’s Kaylon Williams drained a three pointer at the buzzer to send the Green Bay men’s basketball team home with a 64-63 loss on Saturday.
The Phoenix led by 8 at the break but this one turned into a back-and-forth contest over the final 20 minutes.
Kam Cerroni put Green Bay up 60-57 with under 2:30 to play but the Phoenix were unable to pull away, setting up the heroics from Williams.
Kiefer Sykes scored a game high 20 for Green Bay.
Brennan Cougill added 12 points for the Phoenix, who drop to 7-8 overall and 2-3 in Horizon League play.
