ASHWAUBENON - As the Green Bay Packers gear up for the playoffs, curlers are also hitting the ice - or sheets - with their eyes set on the prize: the 2012 U.S. Curling Nationals.
Eight teams will hit the Green Bay Curling Club sheets, starting at 2 p.m. The winner will compete in the National Championships in Aston, Pa. in February.
Two of the competing teams feature members of the Green Bay Curling Club.
There is no charge for admission to the qualifier, held at the Club's facility at 781 Potts Avenue in Ashwaubenon.
