BASEBALL: Milwaukee Brewers draft BHS grad Nick Anderson - Brainerd Daily Dispatch

Brainerd High School graduate Nick Anderson was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 32nd round of Major League Baseball’s First-Year Player Draft on Wednesday.

The 6-5, 195-pound right-hander for Mayville State University was a first-team All-Dakota Athletic Conference selection. He was also named DAC pitcher of the year and made the Association of Independent Institutions team.

The senior, the 995th player drafted overall, finished this season with a 2-2 record and 3.27 ERA in 33 innings pitched. He led the Comets in strikeouts with 40.

Anderson pitched his first three collegiate seasons at St. Cloud State University.
