APPLETON - So what are Packers players up to with the season over and no game to prepare for this weekend?

We found one who was talking to kids and stressing the importance of getting active.

Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson made a visit to Huntley Elementary in Appleton Thursday.

He was there for the "Fuel Up to Play 60" event. The program hopes to help prevent childhood obesity and get kids up and moving.

Nelson says eating right and exercising is important for kids.

"It's something that obviously played a huge part in my life, the exercise and of course eating right to stay healthy is key so its something I figured I could relate to kids and come and have a good time with them," said Nelson.

"The kids have been really excited and it’s been reenergizing them with health and fitness," said associate principal Kendra Vandertie.

Nelson also signed autographs for those who attended the event.
