Youngstown State edges Milwaukee 68-66

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) -- Ashen Ward knocked down the game-winning jumper with 31 seconds left for Youngstown State, and a pair of Milwaukee shooters couldn't get their 3-point attempts to fall in the final seconds, lifting the Penguins to a 68-66 win on Friday night

Ward sank his game-winner for Youngstown State (10-8, 5-3 Horizon League) after rebounding a missed 3-point shot by teammate Kendrick Perry.

The Panthers then took a timeout to set up their final shot, came back onto the court and got the ball to leading scorer Kaylon Williams, who missed his look with 9 seconds left. Tony Meier grabbed the rebound and took his own attempt at a 3, missing that shot as well to seal the win for Youngstown State.
Blake Allen finished with 27 points, hitting seven 3-pointers, to lead the Penguins.
Williams had 18 points to lead the Panthers (13-7, 6-2).
