MLB Team Report - Cincinnati Reds - INSIDE PITCH
The Reds' 2-1 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday made Cincinnati 9-1 in the final game of series.
"It helps to have Johnny Cueto pitching on a lot of those days," manager Dusty Baker said. "You make conscious effort on those days. You try everyday, but we stress get-away days. Whatever it is, let's keep it going."The victory over Milwaukee pushed the Reds' record in 5-0-1 in their last six series.
The Reds were off Thursday. They open a three-game series Friday against the Washington Nationals, who that took three of four games from them on April 12-15. The series is only one of the homestand.
"Come home wash your drawers and go back on the road," Baker said.
Friday's game starts a stretch of 20 games in 20 days. The Reds go to Atlanta for a two-game series. It's followed by two-game series with the Mets at Citi Field. The Reds close the trip with three games against the Yankees in Yankee Stadium.

--RHP Logan Ondrusek not only recorded his first major league save Wednesday, he extended his streak of scoreless innings to 13 2/3. Ondrusek has stranded 14 of 15 inherited runners.
--LHP Aroldis Chapman has not allowed a run over 15 2/3 innings this season. Chapman has struck 27 and walked only four. He topped out at 101 mph in his appearance Wednesday.
--RHP Mike Leake (0-4) will try to record his first victory of the season Friday when he faces the Washington Nationals. Leake went seven innings and allowed three runs on four hits his last time out in a 3-1 loss to Pittsburgh.
--1B Joey Votto has reached base in 29 of 30 games this season. His double Wednesday was his 15th, the most in the National League.
--SS Billy Hamilton, the Reds' No. 2 prospect, returned to Class A Bakersfield after missing four games because of a death in his family. Hamilton is hitting .372 with 32 stolen bases in the 29 games.
BY THE NUMBERS: 15 2/3 -- Scoreless-innings streak for LHP Aroldis Chapman after he threw a 1-2-3 inning Wednesday. He struck out two, and his fastball hit 101 mph on the scoreboard readout.
