Milwaukee Brewers' Nyjer Morgan hit a home run in the first inning against the Pittsburgh Pirates, picking up his first RBI this season.
The previous record was 125, by outfielder Herb Adams of the Chicago White Sox in 1950.
Morgan hit a pitch from Pittsburgh Pirates starter Kevin Correia over the wall in right field, giving Milwaukee a 1-0 lead.
Morgan came into Friday's game batting .226, coming off an impressive 2011 season in which he hit .304 and played a critical role in the Brewers' march to the NL championship series.
