Waiting centuries for Packers tickets

One reason for the $143 million renovation of Lambeau Field is to get more people into the stadium and off the waiting list. People who have tickets don't often give them up. A 99 percent plus renewal rate each year.

That log jam coupled with the team's success on the field has generated a waiting list the team announced today at an unprecedented 96,000 - meaning a long wait. One fan who's been on the list two years says his waiting list number is 77,500. Another says after 15 years, he's still 13,000.

To get off the list has typically taken 33 years. But that may be increasing geometrically.

With 96,000 on the list and on average only 90 non-renewals a year. That means with no other stadium changes a wait of more than a thousand (1,067) years. So if you go on the list now, mark your calendar to pick up your tickets in 3079.
